The EPSRC National Centre for Energy Systems Integration (CESI) is a UK wide research collaboration between eleven leading research-intensive UK universities, government and industry. The Centre’s multi-disciplinary academic consortium utilises energy system demonstrators to understand the value in taking an energy systems integration approach to the UK energy and transport future. The research investigates the behaviours, economics, technical challenges, operation and planning of energy systems and transport across geographical scales, scenarios and across sectors to meet the NetZero Challenge to inform future policy, regulation and industrial practice.
